MIT CDO Forum 2013

cdo-mit-2013

2013 represents the second year in a row that Gavroshe has co-sponsored the MIT Chief Data Officer (CDO) Forum, and Information Quality Symposium.

The MIT CDO Forum is a one-day, invitation-only event hosted by MIT at the prestigious MIT Faculty Club on campus in Cambridge MA. With Boston and Cambridge as the backdrop, this event includes Strategic Data Management experts from all four corners of the world, and blends leading research from one of the world most prestigious technology schools resulting in a game changing synergy that is unequaled.

Participants are pioneering the instantiation of the office of the Chief Data Officer as part of the Executive team outside and separate and apart from the IT Organization. This move is gaining momentum as organizations in the 21st century are increasingly becoming Information Driven and that responsibility for organizing, stewarding, and maintaining the highest quality data for the organization is a business, not IT responsibility.

Likewise, the MIT CDO Information Quality Symposium is a three-day deep-dive into the latest advances in managing information quality. It addresses advances in process and technology associated with Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Data Quality Management, Data Profiling, and the like. This event is open to the public and generally draws executive level – to front line practitioners. It is a must-attend for any organization that is serious about improving data quality and driving impacts across the enterprise.

This year Gavroshe is a major contributor to the Symposium with the following sessions:

  • Mark Johnson – Plenary Panel Discussion – Data Quality Implications and Opportunities in National Health Care Transformation
  • Mark Johnson – Case Study – Our Journey to Improved Data Quality Gavroshe & TIAA-Cref (a Gavroshe Client)
  • Genia Neushloss – Faculty Discussion – The State of the CDO

For more information about these sessions go to http://www.mitcdoiq.org/ and select Agenda. Hope to see you there!

PS: When you stop by our Sponsor Table at the event, mention the code phrase “Brilliant” to be entered into our CDO event drawing.
